I have over ten years of experience in learning about the connections between food, farming, and the environment, and how their combination affects our well-being.
I studied at Shepherd University, earning a bachelors degree in Environmental Studies. Upon graduation, I founded Eating with the Seasons, a Community Supported-Agriculture (CSA) farm where I grew organic vegetables, fruits, flowers, and eggs. I worked for several years at The Common Market, a natural foods cooperative in Frederick, Maryland, where I also served on the Board of Directors.
I received my training to practice Health Counseling at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories.
